Creepy Crawlies in the Night

I am sitting at our computer which is next to our front window and guess what I spot on my front window?

Nick spotted this guy crawling around the window before he went to be and I was lucky enough to catch him at the same time as his friend above! (I think that it is a little tree frog.

I'm just thankful that I was on the inside of the window and they were on the outside! LOL!

First Day of Kindergarten

Micah's first day of kindergarten was yesterday. He was so excited! (Mom and Dad were excited too and handled it all very well.) He was so ready to go and had a wonderful first day. We are so thrilled & blessed that he is able to attend a small local Christian school. (Actually the same school that I attended as a child!) Here are a few pictures to recap the day!
BIG backpack filled to the top with stuff for school!

Little sister with his lunch box. Had to get in some of the excitement as well!

Jumping for joy that it is my first day of kindergarten!
Mrs. Rozenboom, picks up Micah so that he and other students don't have to get on the bus way early.
However, we do get to ride the bus home at the end of the day. He came running off the bus like everything was right in the world! :) (No the bus does not have a funny yellow spot on the side. I did that so no weirdos can search and find my children at school!)

Ridin' on my Bicycle

Micah has been talking for some time about taking the training wheels off of his bicycle. Well, earlier this week his wish came true. Grandpa was outside and suggested that Micah bring his bike over to their back yard, where there is a slight hill, and try riding without the training wheels. It has worked great because if he topples then he has a soft landing.
I wasn't able to get pictures of his first attempt, but here are some pictures that I took when I practiced with him yesterday. It is kind of difficult to get help and get pictures so that quality may not be the best, but you can see his smile! :)

Down the hill.

Behind the garden.

Around the other side and back up the hill.

I think I can, I think I can.

I know I can! (Don't ya just love the smile!)

Next it is on to the cement! (Hopefully there will be little blood.)

Our little girl

On Saturday Micah went to work with Grandpa and so Nick and I were at home with Becca until mid afternoon. I realized during Micah's absence how little time I actually get to spend with just Becca. It was so wonderful to be able to interact with her with out the interuption of another child. I was also able to get some great photos of Becca being Becca.
Enjoying a banana still in the peel while sitting in Micah's chair! (Hard to tell, but she is wearing a pull-up. LOL!)

Becca was able to get her doll stuff out and spread it out all over the living room. (Micah wasn't there with his cars racing all over the living room.) Apparently she thought the doll cradle looked comfy and she found a good book to enjoy while sitting in it!

Can't think of a good caption for this one, but it seems like there should be one....

This photo was actually taken on her birthday. Great-grandma called to say happy birthday and that telephone was firmly planted in Becca's hands. I had to pry it out of her fingers while she was screaming and crying! I guess I better watch out for the phone bills in a few year! LOL!

Crazy Request

(I am only doing this because I know that Carrie at 'with all that I've been given' (http://watibg.blogspot.com/) made a similar request and was successful. I am hoping that I have the same outcome!)

I am in search of tokens off the back of select Keebler/Kellogg's snack products. If I collect enough tookens then I should be able to get my hands on some free movies. (Shhh - I am thinking that some of these might make good Christmas presents.) I scanned in one that I already have so that you would know what it looks like. This token came off the back of the Club Crackers Snack Sticks, but I believe that you should be able to find them on other snack products as well including Kellogg cereal, Zesta Crackers and Keebler cookies.
If I haven't tipped you off to a good idea and you would be willing to share your tokens with me please let me know. You can leave a comment, facebook me or email me or just pick up the phone and call me.
Thank you so much!

Happy Anniversary

Wow! Three posts in one night! Making up for lost time, I guess.

However, I can not let the night go by with out mentioning that today is also Nick's and my wedding anniversary. 8 years ago Nick and I were married on a hot and steamy August afternoon. God has blessed us greatly and we eagerly look forward to the future together to see what God has in store for us.

I wish that I had a great photo of Nick and I to post here. It seems that once upon a time we had all kinds of great photos of us and now 8+ years later the most recent one is probably a year old! :) (However, the photos of our children are up to date! LOL!)

I love you honey!

Happy Birthday Rebecca!

Today we celebrate Rebecca's 3rd birthday. We are so grateful that God gave us our daughter and praise Him everyday for her. She is a little firecracker who always keeps us on our toes, but she is her own person and we wouldn't have it any other way. Rebecca, you will forever be our little princess and we pray that God blesses us with many happy, happy years with you! Happy Birthday!

Church Swim Party

Sunday evening our church reserved a local pool and have a swim party! It was a great time, a little cool, but it was a lot of fun. Micah had a great time playing with some of his church friends and Becca had a lot of fun once she realized that it was warmer if she just stayed in the water! Here are some fun photos of the evening!
Micah and Ephraim going down the slide. It was a big hit.

Emmet, Micah & Ephraim stopped horsing around so I could take a quick photo.

Daddy trying to convince Becca to jump into the water. She wasn't a big fan of the slide or jumping in, but just enjoyed floating and sitting in the water.

Becca sitting comfortably in the water that was up to her chin. It was best if you stayed in the water and Becca figured it out to the fullest extent!
